Auto tagging for imported documents.

As the product stands, it is unusable and buggy for importing a large document (Word). 1) the import failed miserably with the use of Headings for chapters; 2) people tagging especially could be semi-automated, with minimal AI. My 350 some pages would take forever to usefully import into this program.

Stanislav, thank you for this feedback! We are continuously trying to improve the import process, and as you can imagine we have to anticipate a lot of formatting possibilities with MS Word docs. Coupling the tagging process with the import process is a great enhancement, and we will be working on trying to make this a error-free user-friendly experience, the best we could. I will open a separate feature request for the headings, and put it on our to-do list.

I second this -- when I imported a document, the chapter headings didn't come through automatically, even though they had <h1> tags. Similarly, front matter -- title, author -- wasn't handled. Neither was back matter, such as the Acknowledgements page. (It thought that all the people thanked were characters in the book.)

Maria Korolov: Maria, Granthika doesn't currently "acknowledge" the <h1> tags, because they don't necessarily suggest a new chapter, and there might be individual ways in which users set up their chapter/section/scene structure using Word headings that we won't be able to "translate" correctly upon import. But we'll consider that for our next round of automations (perhaps just do a top level heading recognition as chapters, for a start?). Regarding the title and back matter, since those are mostly publishing-related components and not story or discourse elements, we haven't explicitly recognized them as types in the TOC structure (also perhaps because they are usually a part of finished works, not manuscripts in progress). But yes -- the analysis module will recognize them as character entities :) You can uncheck them as the analyzer is offering them as suggestions.
